What Is the Theology of Health and How Does That Apply to Global Health?
2022
CCIH’s Integration of Faith and Health webinar series explores the theoretical and practical aspects of how faith and health are interrelated across health disciplines. On April 6, 2022, Dr. Dan O’Neill discussed The Theology of Health and we heard from Dr. Gabriella Woo and Christy Lafferty of AMOS Health and Hope about the practice of integration of faith and health through the AMOS program in Nicaragua. The AMOS model takes a faith-based community-centered approach to treatment and prevention as a holistic model to provide health for all. Amy Hewitt, Grants Coordinator for Grants Acquisitions, and Management at CURE International moderated the panel. Integration of Faith and Health Working Group Co-Chairs, Dr. Jason Paltzer and Rev. Judith Johnson-Grant shared their thoughts and introduced this inspiring topic. The webinar was co-sponsored by the CCIH Integration of Faith and Health Working Group and the Global Anabaptist Health Network.
