What Does Advocacy Mean to CCIH Members?

This article shares highlights from focus group conversations about advocacy outreaches and needs with CCIH members. It provides background to CCIH’s development of an Advocacy Toolkit. Discussions brought out different definitions, meanings, and uses of advocacy; a wide range of advocacy outreach tools; setting reasonable expectations and reachable goals for advocacy efforts; and creating tools that can be adapted across different contexts.
