Intersectional See Judge and Act Model
2025
The Intersectional See, Judge, and Act (ISJA) model was co-created through work of Evans Nyesi from Tikvah Centre in Kenya and the Circle of Concerned African Women Theologians. ISJA is a religious Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) issues analysis tool. The tool will facilitate SRHR advocates to use religious texts to initiate a community centered analysis of SRHR issues, their impact, and actions that need to be taken to address any barriers identified, so that no one is left behind in accessing their SRHR
Tikvah Centre has continued to refine and enhance it, applying it within the Circle’s programs in collaboration with Makeway, as well as in various initiatives at the Tikvah Centre. The latest version of materials are attached showcasing the approach and framework. More questions and suggestions can be shared with Evans Onyango Nyesi via The Tikvah Center. See the following resources for the model.
