Appreciation to Appropriations Committee for Humanitarian Programs
CCIH joined 23 other faith-based organizations in signing on to a letter to the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives Committees on Appropriations expressing appreciation for supporting life-saving humanitarian and poverty-focused development programs in the fiscal year 2014 omnibus spending package. The letter stated, “Due to your hard work and support, the FY 2014 budget provides over $24.1 billion in funding for poverty-focused development assistance accounts, an increase of roughly $800 million from FY 2013 enacted levels.”
