Following the conference on Monday, June 11, CCIH held its Second Annual Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill to share the message of the importance of the work of faith-based groups in global health and the positive benefits of U.S. foreign assistance.

Maternal and Child Health in South Sudan | PowerPoint Presentation by Joy Mukaire, Executive Director of the Christian Health Association of Sudan at the Capitol Hill Briefing | Joy Mukaire explains the maternal health situation in South Sudan and how CHAS works in collaboration with the community to involve church leaders and traditional birth attendants in maternal care and promoting healthy practices.
CCIH joined other faith-based organizations in sponsoring the briefing on Capitol Hill on the vital role of faith-based organizations in reaching and providing care to vulnerable populations. The briefing was co-sponsored with the Healthy Families Healthy Planet initiative of the General Board of Church and Society of the United Methodist Church, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency and The New Evangelical Partnership for the Common Good and UNAIDS.
