Protecting Humanitarian and Poverty-Focused Development Assistance
CCIH joined 27 other faith-based organizations to sign a letter calling for U.S. Senators and Representatives to demonstrate bold leadership by supporting a State-Foreign Operations (SFOPs) bill that robustly funds and protects all humanitarian and poverty-focused development assistance, and peacebuilding accounts. The letter expresses the support of FBOs to saving lives and advancing the dignity of vulnerable and marginalized individuals and communities across the world. PFDA is especially critical today as the world witnessed a rise in global hunger for the first time in more than a decade in 2016.
