World Renew’s Qualitative Methods in Community Health Program Planning & Evaluation
2024
World Renew produced this guide to help community health program staff evaluate their maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition programs using qualitative methods. This guide explains why qualitative evaluations of community health programs are valuable, how to conduct qualitative evaluations, The guide provides sample consent forms for participants, guidance on how to conduct focus groups, and includes sample structured interview guides and more.
The guide was inspired by World Renew’s Health and Nutrition Programming Handbook, which has been widely used by current staff and partners for designing new health programs, as well as for new health staff orientation. Because of the field success of the H&N Programming Handbook, staff and partners asked for an additional compendium of World Renew’s tools and
resources resulting in a suite of tools available to build their capacity for maternal, newborn, and child nutrition programming (MNCN).
