2024

This article by Katherine Marshall, Executive Director of World Faiths Development Dialogue explores the history of engaging faith actors in family planning and successful tactics to gain their support for efforts that improve the health of their communities, such as healthy timing and spacing of pregnancies through family planning. It focuses on the experience of faith actors in West Africa, primarily the Cadre des Religieux pour la Santé et le Developpement (CRSD) in Senegal, and also references the work of CCIH to assess its members interest in pursuing family planning advocacy in 2008.
