Summary of Health Institutions by Type, Size and Ownership

The following tables (except Table 1.1a) come directly from “Health Institutions in Zambia: A Listing of Health Facilities According to Levels and Location for 2002” by the Central Board of Health.  Table 1.1a has been compiled from directory information to show the number of beds/cots by health system partner, i.e., Government (G), Mission/FBO (M) and Private (P).
