A REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE
Greetings! I am writing
to request your assistance on behalf of The Capacity Project, a
USAID funded project that aims to build human capacity to implement
quality health programs throughout the world.
The Capacity Project is being implemented by a consortium of
organizations: Interchurch Medical Assistance is one of the
consortium members. IMA is on the project to try to bring FBOs or
Private-Not-For-Profit Organizations into the dialogue around the
Human Resource for Health crisis, and to include them as a key
partner in the solutions.
We are currently studying two topics and I am hoping that you can
help me find any reports/studies/documents/meeting agendas
(preferably electronic) that discuss:
1. Meetings or collaboration between the public sector (MOH) and the
private or FBO sector preceding the formation of Health Sector
Strategic Plans or Human Resource Plans.
We are trying to determine the planning mechanisms that go into
these Strategies, who is brought to the table, and how the Private
Not-For-Profit sector is working in collaboration with the public
sector.
2. FBOs and Retention of health workers - policies, practices,
strategies within FBOs to improve retention of the health workforce.
I will be happy to share the findings with any of you that are
interested or that can respond to my query.
