How to care for the many children left orphaned or vulnerable by the HIV/AIDS crisis is a critical issue for many nations, and one that touches the hearts of people of faith. In "A Twist of Faith: An American Christian's Quest to Help Orphans in Africa," CCIH member John Donnelly, communications advisor to the Office of the President of the World Bank, shared the story of one Christian's faith-driven journey to help children in need in Malawi. Donnelly discussed the issue and the story behind the book in a session at the World Bank on October 4. The session was moderated by Ritva Reinikka, senior director of the Human Development Department, Africa Region, World Bank, and featured panelist Pauline Muchina, senior partnership advisor, UNAIDS, and member of the CCIH Board of Directors.
