CCIH's Pauline Muchina Honored by UMC, Appears on CBS News Print {sharethis label=}

CCIH Board Member Dr. Pauline Muchina recently appeared on a CBS news program, HIV & AIDS: Awareness & Compassion, as a result of her work to fight HIV/AIDS and the resulting stigma. Dr. Muchina was a 2012 recipient of the United Methodist Global AIDS Fund Leadership Award at a ceremony in May in Tampa, Fla. The awards are presented by the United Methodist Global AIDS Fund Committee to people and churches that have demontrated outstanding leadership in providing education, prevention, care and treatment in the struggle to eliminate HIV/AIDS.

Three other honorees include Linda Bales Todd, Director of the Louise & Hugh Moore Population Project at the United Methodist General Board of Church & Society; Bishop Ivan Abrahams of Johannesburg, South Africa, newly elected World Methodist Council General Secretary; and Dr. Kent Millard, retired senior pastor of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Ind.
